Marc Block is a Music and Health Apprentice for 2014-2015 with practice based at Nottingham Children’s Hospital, QMC, Nottingham.
Marc Block has been singing for most of his life, and playing guitar, harmonicas and Bodhràn for many years. He has performed as a solo folk singer and songwriter for much of this time, and currently with his Trio is performing regularly on the folk scene. In addition to working as a nurse, Marc also entertains in care homes with a repertoire of mainly 50s and 60s pop songs developed as a busker in his younger days.
As an OPUS apprentice he is planning to expand this into more interactive musical collaborations in homes and in hospitals.
“I’m really looking forward to working with OPUS musicians, and the other apprentices, to gain more Music in Healthcare experience and build a base for my own practice to develop.”
